Happy FOOD Friday to all!
Yesterday, following our morning Barre ritual at the studio, one of my babes suggested a blog with recipes to accompany my food related Instagram posts. Occasionally I get really excited about what I make and, of course, post it on IG - who doesn't? You can check out my sporadic food pics @barrecrew_joyy. Anyway, what a great idea! Barre Reaction has a blog and I have piles of tested recipes and links! Let's do this!
To begin, I can't lie and pretend I'm a pillar for healthy eating. I love me a good carb overload and desserts! Recently I have learned to balance better and create healthy options for those desires, it helps me enjoy the times I do get into the sweeter things. It's been a journey! This trip began with the Barre Reaction Reset Challenge in February and studying for my ACE Nutrition Specialist certification. This doesn't make me a nutritionist by any capacity but I am now able to make educated decisions on what's best for my health. I still get sucked into a buffalo chicken sandwich and Birch Bark Porter from our friends at Kickstand from time to time - it calls to me. Hey, I do my best!
My personal menus vary. I have a few staples I rock out but I love recipes! If there's a recipe, I can make it. I have also found delivery services like Sunbasket and Hungryroot to be awesomely convenient and fun to shake things up. Beginning today I will share one of my favorite meals with you every Friday! I'll bounce around from my personal collection, to fitness sites, to delivery services. I will be sure to always site the source so you can explore! One of my recent favorites was a delicious Miso Ramen Bowl curtesy of Sunbasket. I don't have other diners opinions to share on the dish because I ate both servings myself. Not kidding.
