 frequently asked questions

What kind of results will I see?

Within each class you will experience benefits of cardio, strengthening, and stretching. If coming regularly, you will feel results within 5 classes, and see results within 10! Sculpted, long, lean muscles; strong physique without bulk; and greater flexibility are just a few of the results that come along with a steady barre practice. We recommend taking 4 classes a week for optimal return. Your personal results will vary depending on how often you attend class and your nutritional habits.

Do you have beginner's classes?

Our technique prides itself on being achievable and effective for all fitness levels! Class sizes are kept to a minimum allowing the instructor to give one-on-one attention to each client; a personal trainer feeling in a motivation group setting. Whatever style class you choose, you’re guided through basic movements, and are offered ways to progress and modify each one to suit your own personal needs!

What do I bring to class?

Bring a water bottle and a sweat towel, along with your sticky socks or clean athletic shoes depending on the class you are attending! Be advised we do not sell plastic water bottles in studio, however we do have a water station with a bottle filler! All equipment is provided for class, but you do have the option to bring your own yoga/pilates mat.

How many participants are allowed in a class?

The max participants in a class is 14. Each class will require at least 2 participants to run. Morning and afternoon classes with only 1 participant signed up at 8pm the evening before will be cancelled. Evening classes with only 1 participant signed up at 4pm that day will be cancelled. So make sure to sign up for classes that you plan to come to ahead of time!

Is there a limit to how many classes I may take in one day?

The simple answer is no. Ultimately however, if you are making the most of your workout you shouldn’t feel the need to take multiple classes in a single day. If you feel you're missing something, come talk to us! Barre is a practice and takes time! We are here to help you get the most out of every workout. We can teach you how and where to contract your muscles to get the most out of every class.

What should I wear to class?

Wear clothing you are able to move freely in, and of course are comfortable in. We suggest athletic/fitness apparel for the best in comfort and function. Due to the variance in exercises and position, baggy shorts and short shorts are discouraged. Sticky socks are required for all barre classes. If you forget them no worries, we have them available for purchase in studio! Strong requires clean athletic shoes for class; cross trainers are recommended. If you are taking Flow, Pilates, or yoga you may go barefoot or wear sticky socks. Whichever you prefer!

Why do my muscles shake during class?

Shaking muscles are changing muscles! Muscles begin to shake when they start to fatigue - this is a good thing! You want to build that mind-body connection to take each muscle group to the point of shake each time you take class. We follow this shake with a stretch while the muscles are warm to promote that long lean physique.

What is your cancelation policy?

Once you sign up for class, you may cancel at least 4 hours prior to the start time with no penalty. If you cancel in the 4 hour window, you will be charged a $10 late cancel fee. There is an additional fee for no shows. This allows for people on the waitlist to get into class when there is room! If you are added into a class from the waitlist, the cancellation policy does apply. So please hop off the waitlist if you know you can no longer attend class.
